I can't seem to remove the LC-A door hinge for my LC-A+ Instant Back. What do I do?

If you can’t seem to remove the LC-A door hinge, then maybe the screws are the problem. Sometimes there are glue residues inside the screw head slits which makes the screwdriver unable to fit perfectly into the screw head slit.

If this is the case, please do as follows:

  1. Try to remove all dried glue inside the screw head using a pin. If it’s really stuck in there, a Q-tip with a bit of alcohol or mineral spirit can help remove the hardened glue.
  2. Apply vertical force at the same time while unscrewing the screw.
  3. Try to turn the screwdriver slowly when unscrewing, stop and try again (with more vertical force) if it doesn’t work. Be careful not to abrade the slits in the head of the screws.

When you have succeeded in removing the LC-A door hinge, you can now continue making your LC-A's back door interchangeable with the LC-A Instant Back+.
