An experiment gone... unexpected

So I had this fantasy about combining a cyanotype and a Polaroid transfer print. I thought it might be cool to combine this graphic looking cyanotype of a bit of scaffolding:

with this soft and dreamy polaroid of a windmill:

So I cut up my polaroid and transferred it to the cyanotype print. But the delicate sepia color of the polaroid was no match for the powerfull blue of the cyanotype.

I really didn’t like it, so I decided to tranfer the polaroid a second time, to a blank piece of card. To my surprise, the cyanotype image had sort of imprinted itself on the dark bits of the polaroid.

So I got my cyanotpe/polaroid combination after all. Just not as I expected it.
