My Pinhole F Cardboard Camera Inspired By the Diana F+ Camera

3

I love the different styles of cameras that Lomography has, but I also like to create my own cardboard cameras that use pinholes to be able to take pictures using traditional film. This time I created the Pinhole F, a camera inspired by the Diana F+ and shoots 12 pinhole photos using 120 film.

Last time I shared with the Lomography community my first creation, the Pinolga Camera. I thought it was a fun project so I continued working on new cameras. It is fun yet complicated to try creating something using cardboard —something that looks pretty and actually works.

Here you can see the interior and the back of the camera.

But this camera, I think, was easier to build than the Pinolga. This camera has more rounded shapes, and I got the correct calculations to get a camera to shoot 12 6×6 photos using 120 film, with an aperture of f/150. I took the time to create the perfect pinhole to meet this design and get the sharpest photos possible. I think I nailed it – of course, I used a tripod for all my shoots.

Here are some photos that I took using this camera.

You can see more information in my blog Pixel Analogo about the camera here (in Spanish). I hope you’ll find it interesting.

If you have more questions, let me know!

Well done! I love pinhole, but have not made my own from scratch yet. I have made them from kits like P-Sharan and Gakken. .

Its a fun process, because you decide what kind of focal length and aperture you will use that Is what I like about making my own cameras from scratch. It is easy just to modify a old camera itself but Im no into it. I really dont like to convert cameras to pinhole ones I just found more easy to build my own ones :D
