Please tell us something about yourself and what you do.

Hello everyone! My name is Mariona and I am a graphic designer from Barcelona. I studied art in Barcelona University and my passions are photography, illustration, and fashion design. I’m working as graphic designer in a little studio where I can express my ideas and see them come to life as allovers and positional prints. During my free time, I often walk around the city with my boyfriend and we take some photos.

How did you find the Community and who/what convinced you to join?

Here in Barcelona, we enjoy of one Lomography Embassy Stores. During one of my visits, the owner of the store talked to me about the community. He told me that it is the biggest of community for film photographers. When I finally entered, I was surprised by the amazing content that I found.

As you have read the 10 Golden Rules of Lomography, what rule do you apply in your everyday life?

I love these:

• Take your camera everywhere you go
• Use it any time – day and night
• Don’t worry about any rules.

In this digital age, why still film?

Ever since I can remember, I have been taking a camera with me. Digital photography is easy. You shell out a lot of money to get a really powerful camera. Then, you’ll put it in automatic mode and take a picture. But for me photography is more than that. It is a process. I think that digital will never be equal to analog photography.

Your favorite analog camera as of the moment? Why?

My favorite analog camera is a Olympus Pen, a little camera owned by my mother.

What is the Lomography camera you’d want to have someday?

I’m in love with Lomo LC-A but my first Lomography camera is a pink Fisheye No. 2 and i love it!

Any song, book, or movie you live by?

My current favorite song is “Joanne” by Lady Gaga.

Any Community member you look up to? If so, why him or her?

My other half, my love, and my friend. I love his passion for photography. I don’t know how many cameras he has at home. He likes to experiment and he’s not afraid to try. His observant gaze put something special in all pictures. Visit his LomoHome: @aibarchin.
