I travel to Dubai one or two times each year for business and I remember my trip last February well: I had many meetings at an important food exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Centre, and I just had a couple of hours between the show and a dinner with a customer to shoot. When I left the exhibition at 17.00 I wanted to change my clothes at the hotel but noticed the light would vanish sooner than expected, so I finally decided to go directly to my favorite place in the city, the old town and the spice market, with my suit, tie, my laptop case in my left hand and the camera in the right. It was a little bit weird, but this was a business trip after all and I had to adapt to the tight schedule.

I do not know if it was the pressure, but I ended with much more keepers than expected. Dubai is a very inspiring place, and while many people travel there for the malls or the big attractions, I prefer much more the old town, which feels more authentic than other places in the city, especially the spice market.
