How did you get into photography?

When I was a kid, my dad taught me how to use his SLR film camera, obviously back then it was too heavy and big for me but that got me hooked ever since!

Which subjects do you normally like to shoot?

Most of my photos that are shot in Singapore are a journey in search of the past in the present. It is an exploration of topics such as identity, personal narratives and memories in an ever-changing landscape.

How would you describe your photography style?

An attempt to capture the mundane, overlooked and everyday stories.

Tell us more about why you do film photography.

I love film photography, as everything feels so honest and authentic, every frame is so precious especially with 120 films where you only have 12 shots each time. It really is about being present in the moment and trying to capture it.

Any tips on film cross-processing?

Cross-process any expired films you can get your hands on, you will be in for a surprise!

Why is the Diana F+ your Lomography camera of choice?

I chose the Diana as it is a fuss free easy to shoot camera so that I can focus more on the subject instead. Yet at the same time there is room for exploration and creativity with the many accessories available.

Can you share with us some of your favorite film photos? Any story behind them?

Quite a fair bit of my favorite photos are of places that don't exist anymore, so it's a bittersweet experience to know at least they still exist somewhere in pictures.

How was your experience using the Diana F+ camera? Any highlights and/or lowlights in your experience shooting?

I love the “click clack” sound when you click the shutter to take a photo! Shooting with a toy camera, especially with something as colorful as the Diana F+ CMYK version allow you to get closer to people, as it looks fun and not intimidating at all.

Anything you'd like to say to your fellow Lomographers out there?

Just keep shooting, it's the process that matters.
