Lomography Workshop Weekend at the Yorkshire Sculpture Triangle

Lomography are heading north from June 2nd – 4th to host a series of special analogue workshops at The Yorkshire Sculpture Triangle in Leeds. There will be 5 workshops spread across 3 venues, The Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Henry Moore institute and the Hepworth Gallery. You’ll get to learn about shooting analogue against a backdrop of amazing art and beautiful surroundings.

Friday 2nd June at 12pm – Lomo’Instant Wide Workshop at the Hepworth Gallery
The Hepworth Gallery in Yorkshire celebrates British sculpture artist Barbara Hepworth in the town where she was born. This stunningly designed venue has 10 gallery spaces to explore. Lomography will show you how to shoot with the Lomo’Instant Wide, our instant camera that takes Fuji Instax Wide film. You’ll learn how to shoot multiple exposures and will provide you with a Close Up lens, allowing you to shoot 10cm away from your subject. You’ll then get to explore the galleries and experiment with your new analogue photography skills.

Workshops are £12 and include a pack of film and camera loan Places are limited, however you can book for two people at £12 if you are happy to share a camera. Book your place here.

Friday 2nd June at 2pm A Skewed Perspective with the Fisheye 2
Join us for the Fisheye 2 workshop where we’ll show you how to make the most of this 170 degree Fisheye lens 35mm camera. We will show you the tips and tricks of this camera and encourage shooting at odd angles, close-up’s and multiple exposures for some unexpected and experimental shots.

Saturday 3rd June 12pm Lomo’Instant Wide Workshop at the Henry Moore Institute
Join us at The Henry Moore Institute, one of Europe’s biggest Sculpture galleries where you’ll get the opportunity to shoot in analogue and see the new commissioned sculptures by Aleksandra Domanović. We will show you all the tips and tricks of shooting with the Lomo’Instant Wide camera, how to get interesting and unusual images by shooting on the floor, shooting multiple exposures and testing out the remote control lens cap.

Workshops are £12 and include a pack of film and camera loan. Place are limited, however you can book for two people at £12 if you are happy to share a camera. Book your place here.

Saturday 3rd June 2pm Fisheye 2 Workshop at the Henry Moore Institute
Learn about shooting dramatic close-ups and crazy double exposures with the Fisheye 2. We’ll show you how to make the most out of this 35mm camera and you’ll get to wander the grounds and exhibitions at the Henry Moore Institute.

Sunday 4th June 1pm Fisheye 2 Madness the Yorkshire Sculpture Park
The Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a beautiful 500 acre park with over 100 contemporary and modern sculptures from artist such as Andy Goldsworthy and Henry Moore. There are also 5 gallery spaces to explore. This year the Yorkshire Sculpture Park celebrates their 40th anniversary and are celebrating with a series of special events and exhibitions. Join us for a special Fisheye 2 workshop at the YSP where you’ll learn all the tips and tricks of this super wide angled 35mm camera. You’ll learn about double exposures, flips and the power of a good close-up. This is your chance to explore the park in analogue.
