Hello! Tell us a bit about your photography background.

I started making photographs in high school and fell head over heels in love with the medium. I studied photography at SVA in NYC and got a BFA. Now I find myself working on both a lot of personal long term projects and also on commissions.

What would you call your photography style?

My work normally falls into long-term conceptual projects. My most recent series illustrated strange and unusual laws across the United States. My work is very colorful and at times can be sarcastic.

What was your first impression upon seeing and holding the Neptune Convertible Art Lenses?

The Neptune Convertible Art Lenses are beautifully designed. I love how they had a classic mid-century throwback look to them. The entire package was very elegant and stylish.

How does the Neptune Convertible Art Lens System fit into your style?

Normally I use only one lens and keep my work very consistent. It was a fun challenge to try a new set of tools! I especially liked manipulating the aperture with the converters, I loved seeing stars on my images when the light hit just perfectly. I can see myself using the lenses for special projects to switch things up a bit from my main practice.

Could you share your best photo and the story behind that shot?

My favorite image was of a pair of sunglasses and a ton of sequins behind them. The light hit the sequins in a really cool way creating magical stars! The aperture modifiers were really magical to experiment with.

Any pointers that one should keep in mind when using the Convertible Art Lenses?

Since they are fully manual I would recommend having general photography knowledge before diving into using them. I’d also recommended experimenting by shooting the same image with all three lenses, it’s very cool to see how each lens can change the photograph drastically.
