Lomo'Instant Automat Glass Quickshots with Hannah Brown

1

The Staff at the Lomography Soho Store have been testing out all the features of the Lomo'Instant Automat Glass to give you some tips on how to make the most of this ultra-sharp, instant camera. Today, UK Marketing Manager Hannah Brown tries out the Splitzer around the streets of Soho.

The Splitzer comes in the Lomo'Instant Automat Glass package. It works in conjunction with the Multiple Exposure button so you can crop and layer images together to create weird and wonderful effects. Firstly, screw the Splitzer over the lens and decide where you will make your first crop. Before you shoot your first shot make sure to turn on the MX button. This stops the film from ejecting.

Take your first shot then turn the Splitzer dial so you now cover the area that was exposed before. Then take your second shot. Once you have finished, press the MX button again and the film will be released.

You can do this as many times as you like; cropping small areas to create odd effects. Try taking the same shot on the left and right but turning the camera upside down on the second shot or simply shoot randomly. Don't forget to take the Splitzer off again to resume normal shooting.
