Vintage Postcards of Rural France

Thanks to the Médiathèques Valence Romans Agglo and its expansive 14 libraries, around 65,000 of historical documentation have been made for public use.

Paris has been known as the home of photography. Paris is where its history began and truly flourished, thanks to Louis Daguerre's daguerreotype, photography became a popular, commercialized medium. Here are some photographs and postcards of Southeastern France during the olden times, around the late 19th century and early 20th century.

Images are from the Flickr Commons, under the public domain.
