On the Magazine

Red, orange or yellow:Which filter works best with color infrared film? Argentinian photographer and writer Lorraine Healy (@lorrainehealy) delves deeper into the art of color infrared photography, examining the differences achieved by using different color filters.

Three versions of the same barn on IL 32, just outside of Lovington: FPP color IR with Holga K280 modified, Pentax K1000 with orange filter, and Pentax K 1000 with red filter. The barn has a “matching” dog house under the tree farther in the background, inhabited by a howling Basset Hound with no interest in photographic experiments. Luckily, the owner of the barn did not feel the same way. Photo by Lorraine Healy.

“Around the World in Analogue” is your bite-size guide to the most amazing travel destinations across the globe, as documented by the members of the Lomography community. Lomographer Dominik Tomczyk (@tomczykd) tours us around the windmills of Kinderdijk, Netherlands, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Traveling and taking photographs goes hand in hand. Ardent globetrotter Noé McCrae (@noafromdablock) started his journey across different countries as a means of self-discovery. An interest to document these travels comes naturally. So now, each place he visits are carefully composed into minimalist frames using disposable cameras. Meet our featured newcomer in this brief interview.
