25 Things We've Learned: Part 4

3

A quarter of a century has passed since the Lomographic Society International was founded, and we have learned tons of different things since then. We already shared a few thoughts recently, here are some more:

16. Take Inspiration from the Greats

Planet earth is 4.543 billion years old. Just think of all the incredible people and amazing inventions that have called it home in that time! Without the Lomo LC-A, there would be no Lomography -- and there wouldn't be a Lomo LC-A, Lomo LC-Wide, or Lomo LC-A 120, either! There's infinite inspiration buried in the past. Take a look and see what you can find.

17. Honor an Icon

2007 was all about honoring the old and welcoming the new. Lomography was determined to make one of the most iconic cameras on the planet by creating the darling Diana F+, an upgrade from the original '60s plastic queen. People couldn't get enough of this medium format camera and Lomography's signature features.

18. Grow your business

Sometimes taking a risk is the only way to success. Lomography decided to put their heart and soul into film production and embark on a new journey. Lomography X-Pro and Lomography Redscale were the very first films introduced in 2008.

19. Think Big

After the release of the Lomo LC-Wide, the La Sardina, and the Lomo LC-A+ Russia, the world was ready for something big. Lomography created the LomoKino: a retro movie maker that shoots a film of up to 144 frames on a 35 mm film. They've stepped into a whole new world, and they were making history.

20. Develop From The Negatives

Lomography wasn't settling with just bringing back the 110 film to the market. They wanted something more. Soon they released the Fisheye Baby 110 and Diana Baby 119, which were the perfect teeny-tiny cameras. As they were always thinking two steps ahead, it was safe to say something huge was about to happen. 2012 was the year when world's first medium format camera was launching. It was the famous Belair X 6-12.
