Jamie Dench takes a trip to Berlin with the LC-A+
12 Share TweetUK based photographer Jamie Dench is passionate about all forms of photography. We decided to road test his skills using the LC-A+ camera which he took with him to the city of Berlin.
Tell us a bit about yourself?
Well…. where do I start? My name is Jamie Dench, I’m based in the southeast of the UK, which boasts a beautiful coastline by the way. I'm currently 31 and photography is my absolute passion!
Where did your passion for film photography start?
Good Question, it all all started 6/7 years ago with a Pentax K1000 mounted with a 50mm F1.7 Lens. I had been shooting with a Nikon DSLR before that but the K1000 took over and I was hooked. I’m now own my second K1000, a Nikon FM , a Canon FTQL and a Pentax PC35AF.
How did you get on shooting with the LC-A+ ?
I’ll be honest It took a while to get used to from what I am used to shooting, however this camera is AMAZING for street photography. It’s compact and fits in your pocket, I loved the fact you could do double exposures on it the feature is a plus. It’s a pukka camera for its size!
What did you choose to shoot?
The City of Freedom AKA Berlin, I was there for new year. The city has two sides, one side comes across as quite new and other is the original Berlin, personally I preferred this side as there was a lot more character.
What’s coming up in 2018?
I shoot both with digital and film depending on the project, I do however intend shooting more film during 2018. I recently went through the painstaking task of cutting my work down to my best in order to have a nice clean portfolio. I want to tell stories during 2018 so my work flow is certainly going to be slower but of higher quality.
