Emotional Spectrum in Pictures: Feierabend

Photography isn't just about the visuals, technicalities or equipment. To be a photographer, you have to capture the unseen and the abstract. And when you do, you grow one step empathetic. Here we review Lomographs that straight out speak of human emotions.

One would expect pleasantries in a hard day's night. The labor force that we belong to have us exert much of our efforts and energies, at the dawn of Monday to the twilight of Friday. And so, after a week's worth of work, we allow ourselves to let loose a little.

We pop a bottle of wine or chug in a can of beer. Sing karaoke on a Friday night. Eat delicious expensive food while we're at it as we converse in nonsense among our peers and coworkers. It's a festive, happy mood. This is the state of "feierabend".

Feierabend is an archaic, German word that refers to the evening before a holiday or the night after a workday spent in utter luxury and leisure. It's the festive mood one gets when he's off the clock.

Hey, it's Friday today. Expect that you'll be saying "I'm feeling all feierabend!" in a matter of hours.
