I think there's something wrong with my LC-A+. How can I troubleshoot?

If your shutter seems to be the problem, make sure you have three fresh LR44 button-cell batteries inserted correctly in the camera. Weak or missing batteries are the #1 cause of all LC-A+ shutter issues!

Also make sure that your battery contacts are clean. If they have oxidized a little (you will know if there is a white coating on the battery contact), you can try scratching off the oxidization so that there isn’t anything blocking the metal contacts. Just use a small flat screwdriver or any thing with a metal surface to scratch off the oxidized portion. Please be very gentle so as not to break or damage the metal contacts. You may also want to place a sliver of aluminum foil at either contact to ensure a tight fit and optimal conductivity.

If you know batteries aren’t the issue, make sure that your lens cover opens all the way. If this cover isn’t open all the way, the shutter will not fire.

If troubleshooting does not work, or you have another issue with your LC-A+, please contact us with your receipt or Lomography.com order ID number, and a detailed description and photos or video of the issue.
