A city map and an iPhone which can be rented at the airport will be the savvy tourist's gadgets to conquer the streets of Seoul. But if both fail and you seemed to be lost or clueless as to how to get to your next destination, there is no need to panic. Just look for the people in red caps and red long jackets marked Tourism Assistance Officer during winter as these people could give you directions on how to navigate your way around the city. You'll find them in most key tourist spots walking around and looking for people to help. The ones we met were all very nice and helpful despite occasional difficulty in communicating in English. But worry not. They will mark in their map your present location and your destination, suggesting ways how to get there most efficiently. And they'll give the free map to you for your reference. I noticed they usually travel in pairs.
