Taking photographs of tourist spots without being cliché is challenging. See famous spots from a different perspective through the use of experimental photo techniques
We teamed up with Graphic Days Torino to give you a chance to win a slot at one of their creative talks (happening on October 3rd to 6th, 2019) and vouchers for our Online Shop. An international festival dedicated to visual design, Graphic Days Torino aims to support the cultural value of visual communication and explore a new way to inspire the creatives through workshops, exhibitions, conferences, and performances.
To ace this challenge, we want you to think outside the box and add an imaginative twist to those usual postcard-perfect photos of popular tourist destinations. Here are some ideas to get you started:
- Twists and Turns: Using the nifty multiple exposure trick, rearrange and overturn those famed landmarks and recognizable structures into surreal works of art.
- Change Of Colors: Imagine how these well-known views would look like on another planet. Repaint them in otherworldly and unusual colors using those color-changing film like the LomoChrome Purple or a redscale film.
One winner will get a chance to win one pass for a creative talk during the Graphic Days Torino, subject to tickets availability. Please take note that the transportation and accommodation to the festival are not included in the prize. Four runners-up will also be selected to take home a voucher worth 50 EUR/USD for the Lomography Online Shop.
Each participant may submit up to 10 photographs. This competition serves as the qualifying round for the Game Changers category of our TEN AND ONE Annual Lomography Photo Awards 2019.
