Siberia. Altai. Spring. First spring. The first spring in the life of some of the young inhabitants of this hospitable farm. They have not yet decided for themselves who they will become. Being a farmer is hard, but being a Jersey cow here is good, but not everyone is so lucky. Being a cat is a bit small, but being a guard dog is not bad at all, but you need have to learn a lot. Become an alpine goat like mom?! There will be no time to see the world. They won't let you go to the neighboring village. Or try to become a fashion model?! Guests with cameras often come to us. my name is jodi and i’m 29 years young, residing in the united states. i’m obsessed with film photography since i stumbled upon a Pentax zoom 105-R. i had no idea if it worked or the condition of the camera. so i ordered some batteries and a roll of AGFA APS 400, watched some youtube and found a bootleg website with a scanned manual, and took it to the tattoo shop and tested it out. i read an article about the top 10 film labs in the states ,and picked the first one on the list. when my scans came back i was in love. i haven’t felt this type of excitement and joy about something in a long time, other than music and writing poetry and when i see my dogs. 🖤 i have been in recovery for a few years, and it makes me happy to finally have a healthy hobby. i can’t wait to get some more films uploaded and get better at the process of making magic.
Christmas eve, we had to say goodbye to my sweet white bulldog, Edmund. He had been diagnosed with Lymphoma. He was deaf, and also a rescue. we loved him dearly. after saying goodbye we were devastated. On my birthday, New Year’s day, we adopted Charles! he had been very abused; and just had a surgery to removed his embedded collar from his neck. this is Charles today, happy and healthy and all healed. i am so glad he is a part of our lives.
one of my rolls from vacation to Cape Hatteras. unfortunately ,the film lab emailed me and told me there was a really awful residue / soot / slime in my roll and they had to clean it ,which kinda sucks super bad but hey- it gives it character right!?
