Ilford Pan F 50 120: Perfect for Long Exposures!

A recent experience using an Ilford PanF 50 film roll into my Lubitel 166U, taking some photographs of interiors in natural light. The great contrast of this film allows me to obtain nice greytones even in conditions of low light.

Prologue: I bought a strange little point and shoot from my photo lab because it was the first one I'd seen where the roll of film was in the open while the film was wound snugly into the camera. I shot one roll on it with unfortunate light leaks and posted a review with photos here: http://boredslacker.blogspot.sg/2016/05/the-filmout-camera.html Fast forward to the 2nd roll of film and now, more aware of potential light leaks, I made sure the film was secured correctly to the camera before going out to shoot. Lo and behold, light leaks begone!

  • The FilmOut Camera

    shared by boredslacker on 2016-05-10

So one day, at the photolab, I saw a new toy camera there. I wouldn't have bought it (haha) if not for the unique feature I noticed: The film can is exposed! I decided to give it a try and lo and behold, it works! I didn't know what name it was nor the model, so I named it the FilmOut camera. Now I want to try some another roll! (I wrote a fuller review on my blog, you can see it at http://boredslacker.blogspot.com )
