@hervinsyah ... Thx, I can imagine, not easy to be born as a girl in some parts of indonesia. The documentary looks interesting.
I´ve seen a very unconventional documentay about indonesias dark past, two or three years ago, I think it was made by a austrian filmmaker.
The name is:" The act of killing"
A bit hard to watch but well made...

yes, Joshua Oppenheimer. Have you watch the act of killing's prequel Senyap? it have been banned in Indonesia at this 21st century 7 years after the end of authority regime. Nowaday it's more massive the dialogue about PKI (Indonesian communist party) which always been a blacksheep by military for September 30th 1965 tragedy when 7 military army general, 3 military soldier and 1 daughter of the general got killed by mysterious group using military uniform at late night of that day. After that it massively changing the political atmosphere in Indonesia. General Soeharto who against communism take an advantage of this tragedy and lead the military to vanishing everything that connected to PKI. This made many people that actually not the member of PKI but have connected with PKI underbone organisation such as Lekra (cultural folk below PKI organisation) get caught and sent to isolated place. One of the most famous was (the late) Pramoedya Ananta Toer. He sent to Pulau (island) Buru in Maluku (Mollucas) for long time. Many of them get violent. That's quite funny actually when military said they love this country very much and don't let stranger from other country lead Indonesia meanwhile from 1966-1998 Soeharto regime he made lot of loan for foreign country to made him, his family and relative became rich and rich. Personally I don't care about military vs communist what I care is none violence way and criminal people should get sentence but it will never happen bahaha sorry I'm too politic

@hervinsyah... I havn´t seen the prequel senyap now, but I think if will definitly watch it. The most important thing about history is to learn from it... but a lot of people do not, I just have to have a look on our last presedential elections when a right wing populist nearly became our new president. I´m glad he did not but it was close...
So enough politics today, I will go for a sleep now. Best wishes to indonesia!
