Testing an old camera that came into your hands is always an exciting experience, especially when the camera is fully functional! A friend of mine gifted me an old Canon AE1 that belonged to her dad, complete with 4 different lenses and filters!!! This is the second test roll, an expired Lomo Slide. I cannot understand why some of the pics came out so underexposed but I'm guessing I have more things to learn about using this fabulous camera!

    Hi Maria,
do you actually know, why some Pictures are underexposed? If you use an old lens, which can not be locked in automatic-position and it is turned out of the position `automatic´ (green ring) accidently on an other position, the camera works in the mode `manual´. So the will be exposed with the shutter speed you want and the aperture on which the aperture-ring is turned. Mostly the pictures are underexposed, some times when you choose a slow shutter speed, they are overexposed. The new lenses, build from 1979 on, can be locked in the position`automatic´. You recognize these lenses at the green A instead of the green ring.
I hope this declaration will be helpfull for you.
