We spent a day walking around the island of Giudecca, checked out the modernist buildings that were build after the WW2, and also some churches.

Expired Kodak Gold 200. The film turned out underexposed and the scans from the lab were almost monochromatic purple. So I decided to recover the photos by converting them in black and white and adjusting the contrast. The quality is not good, but there are still a few shots that I like.

  • Taming the Beast (Deep Sea #6)

    shared by wil6ka on 2024-03-06

Once on the ship the scientists that were active from the start were the bio-geo-chemists. They are meassuring the particles that are falling down from the water surface to the ocean ground, thus giving an estimation among others, how much CO2 is contained in the water body. One of their tools is a sediment trap. For one year a giant funnel is placed in the water column, collecting particles for every month. These sediment traps are captured and released every time the RV is making its trip to the Indian Ocean. A task phisically demanding and chief bio-geo-chemists Niko takes care that everything works in military chip-chop order....

    shared by gheinz on 2024-02-25

After our arrival in El Calafate (where it was polar cold), we went to discover the extraordinary Perito Moreno glacier, which is located 80 km from El Calafate. It is an absolutely fascinating spectacle to see this glacier, which continues to advance, at a time when we know that glaciers are increasingly threatened by global warming. We even had the chance to witness the calving phenomenon.

I caried my equipment up the hill in this beautiful old roman city called Sermoneta. All to film and photograph the marvellous Federica. She is a programmer and involved in a global project of the Goethe-Institut, for which I am doing a documentary. It's so lovely to see the most remote places and beautiful people through my job.

  • Harvest [Summer 2023]

    shared by andrejrusskovskij on 2023-11-02

Some more stills from my summer shoot for @harvest_berlin. If I tend to prefer clean images that focus on one dish at a time, @whererosesgrow, the owner of the café, really prefers to set up a big colourful buffet scene. I never really thought I could enjoy taking pictures of food that much. And I actually never thought analogue could compete with the digital world and the crazy amount of post production we normally see when food is advertised. Well, I’m glad that I proved myself wrong and I couldn’t be prouder of how consistent and unique Harvest’s IG page is becoming due to my photography
