  • Both sides of the daily life

    shared by hodachrome on 2012-06-27

Exposing both sides of the film (EBS). I shot on correct(normal) side first in a sunny/bright day, at ISO400(ISO800 film inside). Below half of the lense was masked with a splitzer. After finished a roll, reverse the film (in a dark-room). Then start shooting on redscale side in a cloudy/rainy day, at ISO200. Upper half was masked with a splitzer. The order of each location is precisely the same as 1st shots. I took notes in details about locations and shot all places with iPhone, to remember locations. Need patience, concentration, and accuracy for this challenge. Plus must be careful with 'gaps' between frames. Have a look at my article about this technique: http://www.lomography.com/magazine/tipster/2013/01/14/tipster-how-to-take-symmetrical-images-with-exposing-both-sides-of-the-film-ebs

    shared by hodachrome on 2011-12-07

I was living in Kyoto, one of the most popular area especially in autumn red leaves season, in my early twenties. But didin't know a lot about photography then. Since I started lomography my strong desire for KYOTO WITH LOMO has been geting bigger and bigger. ( I haven't seen any lomographs of Kyoto ever!) In this autumn I finally could visit there with LOMOs and enjoyed just one day lomowalk. Needed 3 days more at least! I had nice time anyway :)

Dippemess is a tradition which dates back to the 14th century. At that time, the Maamess, as it was then called, was a medieval market for domestic articles. Potters from the Westerwald, Kannebäckerland and Urberach came here to sell their wares, especially their ceramic bowls and pots. These were known in the Frankfurt dialect as 'Dippe' from which the event soon took its name. Over the years, more and more fairground booths and popular attractions joined the market as well. The Dippemess today is Frankfurt’s largest fair and a lot of fun :)

My first roll of Kodak BW400CN. Totally loved shooting with this film and after I developed the film today I immediately placed a new order for some Kodak BW400CN. The thing I like most about this film is the slight yellow hue in the photo's. Works great with my Holga 135BC. Anyway, these photo's were shot in a period of time that took half a year. I had only a few shots left on this film and little time to go out and find the perfect spots to use this film, so I just had my Holga laying around. Decided it was time to start shooting again and voilá! Pictures are in: Antwerpen, Belgium; Amsterdam, The Netherlands; Pinkpop Festival, The Netherlands; Meppel, The Netherlands
