Rode with my friend Amelia to breakfast and then to a park to shoot off a roll of her in her cute red shoes and polkadot dress.

I borrowed my daughter's camera that she got for her birthday to take this picture. She was upset that I was using her film, but once she saw it, she was happy because she thinks it is the prettiest picture of her ever. That would be a much harder decision in my book... I have a million trillion pictures of her and which is the prettiest is anyone's guess.

  • Still Too High for Kids to Reach

    shared by bridgetj on 2011-07-17

Old water fountain in the Kiddieland section of Conneaut Lake Park, Western Pennsylvania. How many times have I been here? No way to tell, but I distinctly remember being highly annoyed with my cousins when they would insist I had to ride the rides over here, and not the big rides. The park has been falling into disrepair for decades, but after a couple years of closure, they're trying to begin fixing it up again. The Kiddieland area has probably received the most attention in recent years. Most of the old rides there are in working order. The park was closed the day I was there taking pictures, but you can walk through it freely.

  • Conneaut Lake Park Bessemer Rail System (#2)

The Bessemer Train Ride (a miniature train) at Conneaut Lake Park in Western Pennsylvania, originally installed in 1923. The park has been falling into disrepair for decades, but after a couple years of closure, they're trying to being fixing it up again. The train is still under repair. Park was closed the day I was there taking pictures, but you can walk through it freely. This was a fat roll, probably because it was a roll of Fuji film being wound onto a non-Fuji take-up spool. The last half of the roll was exposed to varying degrees when I unloaded the film.

Double exposure of the ticket booth at the kids' carousel in the Kiddieland section of Conneaut Lake Park, Western Pennsylvania. It's hand-painted, and I have no idea how long it's been there, but it's adorable. After shooting a roll, take it into a dark room and open the film. Then sprinkle hot water filled with baking soda all around on the film, with flicking my fingers. Rewind it and put into a pan and pour water, and boiled it for about 5 minutes. Rinse and dry, and cross-deveop it. Done!
