    As i understand it they are talking about moving the artifacts in this building to a new building being built soon next to this one. They're checking if the artifacts can survive the move. Stupid if you ask me. This building is also part of our history in Norway and the artifacts are very fragile.

    @theblues I think they need more space to more artifacts, and to some new kind of role internationally in the history of the vikings. The new museum is going to be three times as big as the old one. I just checked the news and they say there are lots of small cracks in the wood of the artifacts and they are afraid that moving them will make them fall to pieces. Even small vibrations and movements in the floor is something they are afraid of. Building a new museum will cause some vibrations on the floor also. The building itself is protected luckily. But I still have no understanding for the wish to move them...

    @sierravictor those pieces seems pretty sensitive, we forget how old it is and how important to keep it
