That could easily be here in New Zealand...

I've heard that we look a lot like parts of New Zealand @lizkoppert!

:) Try Norway. They're "worse". A Norwegian friend of mine showed me around her stomping patch via google earth, and some of that looked like part of the same state highway I was thinking of when I wrote that last comment :)

LOL, @lizkoppert. When I first moved here, I was surprised at how much it reminded me of Kauai, Hawaii (except we lack coconuts). And I live in an area of great fjords as well as coniferous forests so we are very similar to Norway and Finland as well

Funny that. How there are a few different places that have similarities. Did you originally come from Kauai?

@lizkoppert, no, I'm originally from the prairies of Alberta, but I had a dear friend who lived on Kauai for a number of years and was able to tour the island extensively.

Oh, wow. Somehow, I've heard of Kauai before... is that where they film Hawai'i Five-O with James Cann?

Not that I recall @lizkoppert but I do know parts of The Thorn Birds was filmed there and it is rumoured that James Cameron had Avatar actors spend time in the rainforest there.

Didn't know that. I was, though, under the impression that some of the filming (and/or inspiration for scenery) for Avatar came from New Zealand. Been years since it came out, and my colander-like memory isn't terribly reliable sometimes...

Avatar was shot mainly in New Zealand and in studios in LA, but Cameron apparently wanted the actors to get the "tropical rainforest experience" by sending them to Kauai, at least according to my sources on that island...
