La Gorée (Westafrica #39)

One amazing site in Dakar is the island La Gorée. On my last day I set over with a ferry and I had roughly two hours to collect my shots. Unfortunately my batteries failes me partially, so I lost quite a few shots and had to redo some others. It still serves as a little memory. La Gorée was under dutch and french control and became a port for the slave trade to America. Now it houses an impressive museum about its past and a a fantastic artistic neighbourhood without any cars.
