Mermaid Instax!
16 18 Share TweetI am so in love with my Instax camera because it not only spits out my photos on tiny credit card sized prints in an instant but also it is a good swimmer…
I love floating in the water as well as taking Instax photos and gladly I can do both!.
What I did was I got one of those large rubber (or PVC? not sure) underwater bags that sailors use to keep their maps or their belongings in when out at sea (readily available from my local army supplies store). The PVC bag came with a clear front and it has a ziplock and a velcro to keep the stuff inside dry.
Tips while shooting:
- Remember to keep some air inside the bag so that the Instax film will have the space when it comes out after taking a shot.
- You can shoot at different times of the day to get different tones on the film. I personally like shooting in the evening after the sun sets or on rainy days as the photos comes out with that dark painting look .
- The flash is not as strong underwater, so shoot nearer to your subject if you’re shooting at night!
And lastly don’t get caught by the security guards for swimming with your clothes on at night!
I also have some day shots in my home :)
