Hello Oscar! Tell us a little bit about yourself, a quick introduction.

I make illustrations and designs, specially illustrations for advertising. I work in Madrid in my own studio. I consider the job as one of my most serious hobbies.

What’s the best part of your job?

Being able to work for all kinds of clients in a wide variety of projects.

And the worst?

Solitude… at certain times.

What are your sources of inspiration when it’s time to draw? Why?

They’re many and quite varied. The imagination is key in my drawings and it’s conditioned by what I see on TV, the internet, museums, other people in my profession, the neighborhood…

Is there an analogue part that remains in your drawings or (even though it hurts) have you become an absolutely digital guy?

Almost all of my commercial works are digital, though they always begin with a pencil sketch. On the other side, my personal work and murals are always “analogue”.

What has it been like to shoot with your La Sardina camera?

It brought me back to old times.

How would you describe the La Sardina in 5 words?

Surprising, fun, striking, different, exclusive.

If you could teleport right now to anywhere in the world with your camera and a bag full of film, where would you go and why?

Japan, anything you come across over there makes you want to take a photo of it, even the most common things.

If you could take a picture with any person in the world, alive, dead, famous, not famous, who ever… who would it be?

With my grandfather.

Tell us, what projects have you been working on recently or what are your future plans?

I’m currently designing an illustration course that I’ll be teaching with other colleagues in the school Tag.

Could you choose one of the photos you’ve taken and mix it with an illustration? We know you do it sometimes and we love the results!

Thanks a lot for your time Oscar. We love your drawings and now your photos as well!
