Schonbrunn Palace

When you are in Vienna, make sure you pay a visit to the Schonbrunn Palace. You will be fascinated by its architecture, as well as its beautiful gardens.

Schonbrunn Palace is located in Vienna. It used to be the summer residence for the Austrian Emperor. The palace is built in Rococo style. Apart from visiting the palace where the Emperor lived, you should definitely spend some time in the gardens. The palace itself is only half of the visit.

After visiting the interior of the palace, I would suggest you take a look at the gardens, and visit the mazes. Spend some time to be amazed at the scale of the Great Parterre. Walking through the Great Parterre, you can get to the Gloriette, which is a very beautiful structure on top of a small mountain, just opposite of the palace. On the foot of the mountain is the Neptune Fountain. The walk uphill is a bit of a hike. However, when you get to the Gloriette, you will not regret going this far. At the Gloriette, you can have a very good view of Vienna. If you want to go even higher, you can go to the roof of the Gloriette.
