My Fisheye Baby 110 and Me: Adrian

3

Meet Adrian aka @somapic; LomoGuru extraordinaire. Find out what he was up to with his Fisheye Baby 110 and what sort of 110 camera he’d invent if he were only given the chance.

Hello Adrian!

Since the Fisheye Baby 110 Cameras are the best travel companions around, where would you go with yours if you had an open ticket to anywhere?

Bikini Atoll, Seychelles, Maldives and Indonesia – all across the pacific and the Indian ocean….

Ok, but where did you actually end up with it?

Well, the closest to a tropical Island was my private “Balkonia” in Vienna…

Had you already started thinking about how you could get creative with it at this point?

I was excited about the bulb option from minute one! When I first found the flash connection I immediately started testing the most ridiculous 110 camera & flash setups – studio light, holgon strobe flash… everything is possible!

Which customization and quirky tipster ideas have you come up with for the Fisheye Baby 110 in the meantime?

So far I mainly built Flash Adaptors. Next thing I want to test is using sheet film or even positive paper cut into tiny pieces for my Fisheye Baby 110.

Sounds awesome. If you could create a new Fisheye Baby 110 right now what would it look like and which crazy features would it have? Would it talk, spray water or have a laser beam?

I´d LOVE a tiny 110 Spinner Camera – just imagine a flawless endless panorama on 110 Film – or taking this idea and spinning it further…do you remember those windup toys where you pull a string and the top part flies off…what if there was a 110 Spinner with “fly mode”!?

Ok, one last thing. Let’s pretend you’re a sleek agent sent on a mission to collect a stolen shipment of 110 film. Tell us about your adventure and how your Fisheye Baby 110 came in handy!

…look at me, snapping all the evidence I could find and yet when I get a glimpse of the mischief-makers there´s just one more shot on the roll BUT this handy, interchangeable 110 Film back saved the shot. With the flick of the wrist I popped in a fresh roll – absolutely no fiddling around when reloading the Film – and thanks to the bright fisheye lens I still caught them on Film before they ran off….

The Fisheye Baby 110 Cameras are fully working miniature versions of the Fisheye No. 2 designed especially to fit 110 film. They capture the world in full circle and enable you to produce perfect Fisheye pictures. The Fisheye Baby 110s come with a bulb mode and are able to capture multiple exposures too. Load them with Lomography Orca B&W 100 and dive into the long forgotten world of 110 photography! Head to the 110 Camera Microsite for more information.

@somapic: wenn du von Balkonia nach Polynesia kommen willst, bist du natürlich eingeladen, aber das gilt nur bis Juni 2013, weil danach sind wir nicht mehr dort! ;)))
