LomoGuru of the Week: Arurin

But just like Arurin said – all you have to do is to have faith and everything will be snapped into your camera, all in the right time and in the right place!

Number of years as a Lomographer:

Share to us your most memorable experience in the Lomographic Community.
Every day in the Lomograpic Community is memorable for me. Having my photo as photo of the day, winning some rumbles, or simply when someone comments on my photo, telling how much they love it is really a memorable experience for me.
Have you actually met people in the Community that you now consider as close friends? If yes, name at least one of them.
Yes, I have actually met some Lomo friends just a while ago in the Lomography Shop, Shibuya, Japan. But unfortunately I can’t remember their user names on the Lomography site, I know it`s kinda stupid but I have many friends who carry Lomo cameras and shoot films but none of them have an account on Lomography no matter how many times I tell them to create one. I also consider some friends in this Community as close friends, if you ask me to mention one them, I will say atria007. She is everybody`’s friend (I guess) but and is a really sweet friend even if I have never met her.
Do you think you’ll still be taking Lomographs in the next 5 years? Why?
No, I will still be taking Lomographs untilI die. The thing is, I can`t stop it! Lomography has become my biggest passion. It is just so fun and it makes me feel alive.
What is your favourite Lomo camera and why? Do you have any memorable experiences while using this camera?
Well, honestly this will be a fight between my Holga 135 BC and my L-CA. I know both are really different cameras, but these two cameras are just too awesome for me. Call me crazy but I think they are really alive and so moody. I had my Holga 135 BC a long time ago and its just so unpredictable. Sometimes, I get a really clear image but sometimes I get a really abstract or ghostly image that isn`t the object I shot. In the other hand, the Lomo LC-A has always been a dream for me. I remember the time I finally got my 1991 LC-A, I was so excited and so happy. This camera is just so perfect in all conditions and I think this camera is the best camera for doing doubles with my Lomo friends. I now own myself three LC-A’s.
Is there any advice you can give to new analogue shooters?
All I can say is don`t stop shooting! You’ll never know what you`ll gonna get, and if you now own a camera, no matter what it is and it didn’t give you what you want, don`t give up on it — love it! And I’m sure it will give you what you want, what you’ve been asking for, what you wanted to see, your DREAM!
They are the ones whose passion transcends not only by what they do and say, but also with what they see and capture with their film cameras. And with such attributes aforementioned, they are what we call LomoGurus! Every week, we get to ask questions and reveal some insights with the most talented and productive of all Lomographers from the Community!
