Lomography X-Pro Slide 200 120: A Film of Two Colors

2

The Lomography X-Pro Slide 200 is one of those films that makes you shoot more interesting photos than expected. All the more fun with Lomography, I’d say!

It is a slide film that develops in E-6 but can be easily developed like other negatives in C-41. The first time I tried it was with the Yashica MAT 124. I gave the roll to the clerk in the mini lab. It looked like the only thing he could think of was “How do I develop this in C-41?”

Fortunately, I do a little research here to see the results of the other Lomographers and see what kind of development is best for the films I’m using. The X-Pro Slide is usually developed in E-6 but I just instinctively told the clerk to develop it in C-41. Well, I don’t regret doing it.

Here are some results:

The photos are from yellow to green due to “incorrect” development in C-41. The colors are warm and in my opinion, it’s a nice effect. Once I got the results, it was amazing. All the prints were beautiful. I tried shooting using many films and cameras but I have to say that this film interacts with good lighting conditions very well.

Satisfied with the results of the X-Pro, I did develop another roll and got 6 prints. Again, I must say that the results are very good.

The strength of this film in my opinion is the ability to get photos in 2 different hues. Another strong point in specifc is its unpredictability if developed in C-41. The developing process makes it unique and perfect for every Lomo camera user. We just have to wait until our orders are delivered from the Online Shop. Can’t wait to shoot more with the X-Pro Slide!

The new Lomography X-Pro Slide 120 is made from the original Agfa RSX 200 emulsion. If you want whacked out colors, huge contrast, and insane saturation, this film is for you. See our selection of Lomography films here.

nice article. I especially like the last 4 pictures. it's interesting how different the colors of this film are. as you can see in my gallery, my first roll of x-pro slide turned out extremely green (I don't like it that much). and all pictures have the same colors, so I'm note sure if it depends on the lightning conditions, mh. maybe I should give it one more try.
