Kodak Kodachrome (35mm, 64 iso) User-Review

I bought the expired slide from eBay in late 2009 not knowing that its maker Kodak had announced the end of its production on June 22, 2009.

I then went to my regular lab to have it cross processed but to my horror the lab guy said he could not do it as the slide required only K-14 process. K-14 process? I called the few local labs and none of them could help me.

Then in early January this year, after reading the Kodachrome Project online, I decided to send my roll to Dwayne’s Photo in the States to have it processed. The said lab is believed to be the only one left using the K-14 process and it had also announced that it will continue to process the film till end of 2010. So if you manage to get one, send it for developing if you can :)

I was pretty excited when the roll came back just in mid of February and I decided to post my pictures which I took with the Lomo LC-A+. I realized that there are slight blue tones on my pictures and I hope you guys don’t mind the “not-so-great pictures” I took :P But I have to say I was very lucky to be using this iconic film that is sadly, part of the film history now.
