Kodak Gold (400 iso, 35 mm) User-Review
8 7 Share TweetKodak Gold 400 iso was a non professional film which gives you saturated colors. It can be a very interesting choice if you don’t want to spend too much money for a film.
My favorite Kodak film is Portra VC (for vivid colors). But I like to try other films, sometimes. Recently, I was given a roll of Kodak Gold 400.
I load my Diana Mini and took pics of the carnival of Nice. The weather was cloudy, I didn’t was to use an expensive film, and I thought that the pics would have pastel tones. What a surprise ! This film offered me rich color saturation in low-light,. The pics aren’t to sharp (but it’s not the fault of the film, it due to the Diana-Mini ).
In conclusion, Kodak Gold 400 iso is a good choice if you want an inexpensive film which gives you saturated colors.
Though the film is discontinued, you can find it on e-bay or second hand markets.
