Kodak Gold (400 iso, 35 mm) User-Review

8

Kodak Gold 400 iso was a non professional film which gives you saturated colors. It can be a very interesting choice if you don’t want to spend too much money for a film.

My favorite Kodak film is Portra VC (for vivid colors). But I like to try other films, sometimes. Recently, I was given a roll of Kodak Gold 400.

I load my Diana Mini and took pics of the carnival of Nice. The weather was cloudy, I didn’t was to use an expensive film, and I thought that the pics would have pastel tones. What a surprise ! This film offered me rich color saturation in low-light,. The pics aren’t to sharp (but it’s not the fault of the film, it due to the Diana-Mini ).

In conclusion, Kodak Gold 400 iso is a good choice if you want an inexpensive film which gives you saturated colors.

Though the film is discontinued, you can find it on e-bay or second hand markets.

Wow, great photos! I Love the colours!

:D The funny thing is, I used to load all my cameras with the same film, but stopped because they weren't really colourful.

nice gallery! my fave is the photo of the "sick" Earth. So apt for Earth Day. Too bad this film isn't produced anymore though
