What was your first impression of the new Lomography Petzval 58 Bokeh Control lens?

I enjoyed using the bokeh control and playing around with the different settings to see the results of the swirl. It is great for full length portraits and wider shots as well.

I used the Canon 5D Mark III and the Canon EOS

How was your experience shooting with it? Did you encounter any difficulties?

I found the initial focus to be nice, it took a little adjusting to decide what bokeh setting worked best for the shoot but I enjoyed trying the different settings to find the different intensity.

Tell us about the photos you took, and why you chose to photograph the subjects with the Petzval 58 Bokeh Control lens.

The series I shot using the lens was natural and whimsical, I wanted to find a subject who had an soft innocent look that would lend well to the mood of the lens, styling and location.

Have you used the Lomography Petzval 85mm lens? If yes, how was your experience shooting with it? How does the Petzval 58 Bokeh Control Lens compare with the Petzval Lens 85?

Yes I use the Lomography Petzval 85mm lens often and love the bokeh it gives, especially when shooting in studio. I personally found the 58 Bokeh Control Lens a bit easier to focus with due to the focal length.
