Boris Brkovic on the Social Scenery of Addis Ababa with the Lomogon 2.5/32 Art Lens

Boris Brkovic dreams of helping out the world, as a Climate Technology and Innovation Expert for the Department of Energy in the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). Apart from lending his scholastic and diplomatic skills and abilities in seeking out new technology to help the environment, Brkovic also uses his artistry in seeing humanity through photography.

A natural multi-talent, Brkovic was able to visit the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa to work with the Ethiopian Space Program. As a visitor to the land, Brkovic wanted to capture the life and culture in the capital, without gathering too much attention from locals. Hence, he brought his Lomogon 2.5/32 Art Lens with him for an easier grind.

With all photographs shot from the hip, Brkovic has created a series of powerful social documentary photographs for the whole world to be seen.

“The market is vast, colorful and confusing at times, as for a novice, the layout pretty much resembles an elaborate labyrinth, and don't forget, donkeys have the right of way... Walking through the markets, I shot all my photos from the hip to avoid raising too much attention.”
