Neptune Convertible Art Lens System: Wilson Lee's Travel Diary in the US

1

Hong Kong Photographer Wilson Lee brought along the Neptune Convertible Art Lens System to the United States. He visited the three famous spots, including the Death Valley, Great Canyon, and Antelope Canyon, and shot with the 35mm and 80mm front elements. Let's look at his photos and read his thoughts on the lenses!

"I have planned for so long for this US trip. And the main purpose of this trip is to visit the three places that I have longed to go since I was small. They are the Death Valley, Great Canyon, and Antelope Canyon. All three places are spectacular! And among the three, I like the Death Valley the most. Of course the other two places are wonderful as well, however, the endless rock mountains really calmed me down. It was really nice to be able to find myself in nature, escaping from the busy city life in Hong Kong."

"I mainly use the 35mm front element. It is because the lens is 35mm in my full frame Canon 5D Mark IV and 50mm in my Fujifilm X-T10 with APS-C. I also brought the 80mm lens as I seldom use this focal length to shoot and would love to try it out."

"The best part of the Neptune Convertible Art Lens System is the interchangeable lenses design, which brings up a lot of great things. Firstly, you just have to bring three small and compact front elements for all your photography adventures and that already covered the three most frequently used focal lengths. Secondly, with the base element, you need not afraid to have dust gets into the sensor of your camera."

"My favorite thing about the lens is the solid build of the lens body. The optical quality is quite fine concerning the size of this lens. And you just have to put the extra small front elements in your pockets and you are ready to go. I really look forward to the upcoming possible creations, for example, an ultra-wide front lens (which Lomography had just introduced, the Naiad 15mm ultra wide front lens) or other lenses with fun effects."
