Brittany is one of my favorite parts of France for a couple of reasons. It’s close enough to the UK that you can easily catch a ferry across the channel and drive there, plus it has some of the best beaches in Europe. I stayed in Perros Guirec as it is a great place from which to explore the beautiful Côte de Granit Rose (Pink Granite Coast).

The beach in Perros was a focal point where everyone hung out, locals or tourists, young or old and there was always a wonderful relaxed atmosphere that seemed to make time slow down and the days last longer. However energetic or lazy you wanted to be something was always going on, from surfing lessons to SUP, volleyball to vegging out working on a suntan. Then, to round things off, the sunsets were out of this world which would set you up perfectly for a visit to a restaurant where the seafood, especially local lobster, was yet another highlight.
