Please tell us something about yourself and what you do.

Hi! I'm Jessie, born and raised in Baguio City, Philippines, an amateur hobbyist in film photography. Aside from film photography, I also do painting and sketches.

How did you find the Community and who/what convinced you to join?

I accidentally came across this community when I was trying to find articles about film photography. I blogged about my first film photographs here, too.

As you have read the 10 Golden Rules of Lomography, what rule do you apply in your everyday life?

Definitely It would be the first rule (Take your camera everywhere you go), as I consider every moment at specific time and locations. We'll never know when it might happen again or maybe it would be the last time. Unexpected moments are the best one to freeze in our negatives, together with the challenges of how you took it, what you learned at that moment, and whether it was worth capturing.

In this digital age, why still film?

It's the thrill and how you'd go very meticulous in shooting your subjects because we only have limited frames. Waiting for it to be developed as it was like a present you've been waiting for is the best feeling. I just love how film gives these large amount of noise and light leaks.

Your favorite analog camera as of the moment? Why?

It would be my Ricoh KR-5. I love how it works well on my negatives and gives promising light leaks on my photographs.

What is the film camera you’d want to have someday?

Absolutely the LOMO LC-A+ or a Rolleiflex.

Any song, book, or movie you live by?

My favorite from Clams Casino, "HUMAN". I love the nostalgic feeling I get every time I listen to this.

Share your current favorite Lomograph, could be yours or a friend’s. Why?

I wasn't expecting the bees to land on this sunflower when I was capturing It using LomoChrome purple with Ricoh KR-5 camera.

Any Community member you look up to? If so, why him or her?

She's a Japanese photographer, @chichic, who I've been also following on Instagram for over a year now. I love how she connects with nature.

What are you looking forward to in our Community?

Keep sharing ideas and be an inspiration to everyone! Long live film!
