Ready for another month of fun-filled events and workshops fit for analogue lovers of all shapes and sizes? Join us at our Lomography Gallery and Embassy Stores to learn new image-making skills, rediscover classic Lomography cameras, and party hard at our worldwide Film Photography Day celebrations!

New York

Over the past year we’ve accumulated some stock from returned press samples, products with packaging which is slightly imperfect, and a few floating cameras or accessories that seem to have lost their packaging all together. So, instead of building a Lomography fort out of these items, we’ve decided to offer them to you for 1 WEEK ONLY at huge discounts. Now is the time to save up to 50% on that camera, lens, bag, t-shirt, book, or accessory you’ve been coveting! There will also be some special dead-stock products on sale for possibly the last time ever!

This year for the annual Film Photography Day celebration, we are scattering a bunch of photographs across NYC, each one with a prize redeemable at our shop! Spend the day hunting for hidden treasures, renting out some of our cameras and shooting film for our Lomography Magazine, and then spend the evening with some well earned cake and drinks.

We look at the work of New Jersey-based photographer Dan Bassini, as he debuts the third issue of his zine “No Invite.” Shot on 35mm, the zine documents the surrounding cultures of New York’s Fashion Week through the eyes of an outsider.

Event starts at 18:00.

London

Have you ever wanted to try a Lomography camera but the opportunity hasn’t presented itself yet? Well here it is! Join us for a very special workshop where you can take your pick and we will instruct you how to get the best results from the Lomography camera of your choosing!

This workshop costs just £15 and includes the loan of a Lomography camera of your choice, a roll or pack of film, and development and scans of your negatives or the instant pictures you make, plus a chance to win prizes! Slots are limited so give us a ring on +02074341466 now to book your place!

Workshop starts at 13:00.

Historically, life drawing has been the foundation of fine art education. This is not only due to artists’ enduring fascination with the human body, but also because life drawing teaches crucial skills including perspective, composition, balance, and mark making. A new focus on identity and trans-humanism in the art world has brought fresh relevance to the human form. This workshop seeks to emphasize a process-based approach to life drawing that can be applied to any contemporary art practice.

The first two hours will be dedicated to reviewing basic drawing technique as well as a brief introduction to anatomy. After the break the focus will turn to composition, and exploring methods of abstracting the figure.

This workshop will be hosted by Laura Nicholson, a practicing artist primarily concerned with narrative and the human form. She works in a variety of media including animation, lino cut, painting, graphic novels, and installation.

This workshop is priced at £15, £10 for concessions, and £20 with donation. It includes the loan of a drawing board, paper, pencils, charcoal and erasers. Call us on 02074341466 to get involved!

Workshop starts at 12:00.

Learn all about the automatic wonders of the LC-A+. We will then take to the streets and seek out the most fantastic street style Soho has to offer. If you’re not into street style, go free-style and take photos of anything you like!

This workshop is £10 and includes the loan of a LC-A+, a roll of film, and development plus scans of your negatives. Places are limited. Reserve your spot and call us on 02074341466.
