LomoWalk: Guided by Strand Books with Inspiration from Eileen Myles in New York City

2

A picture can say more than 1000 words. But words can also create a picture. Literature and photography can be beautifully combined and inspire each other. That's why we teamed up with our favorite book store, Strand Books, to take you on a special LomoWalk with the Simple Use Film Camera.

Jump lens first into the bustling streets of New York — one frame at a time. Switch up your perspective and learn something new from other analogue enthusiasts. Share, inspire and start shooting great urban imagery on a LomoWalk — fun, experimental exchanges for all the community!

This LomoWalk is inspired by Eileen Myles, whose novels and poetry have inspired generations of New York iconoclasts. Myles has used a Simple Use Camera to snap some shots of their home turf downtown, and you'll use them as inspiration before heading out to take some of your own.

All you have to do is get your ticket in the form of a Lomography Single-Use Camera on Strand Books Website here and you are signed up for the LomoWalk.

The walk will start at 3pm in the Rare Book Room, located on the 3rd floor of the Strand at 828 Broadway (at 12th Street).
