A Genius Trick to Put Your LC-A+ on B Mode

Dusk is settling in and you're out with your Lomo LC-A+. As cars whizz by, you have the sudden urge to shoot some cool light trails, as well as capture the luminous charm of neon and storefront light signages. You look down at your Lomo LC-A+ — is this possible?

The Lomo LC-A+ is smart enough to decide the appropriate aperture and exposure time according to the lighting conditions you're shooting in. However, for nighttime scenes, you need to do a longer exposure to let more light in on your photograph. The question is: how do you shoot long exposures with the Lomo LC-A+?

The solution: Put your finger over the light meter.

Yes, it's that simple. This way, you're blocking the light from seeping into the meter. How long should you keep the light meter covered with your finger? For as long as you feel like holding the shutter open! Once you're done with the exposure, remove your finger and the shutter will close automatically.

Alternatively, you can stick a piece of black tape over the light meter. Don’t forget to keep your camera still on a steady surface or a tripod while you hold the shutter open! This ensures that your photos will be shake-free and sharp.
