Interested viewers will be happy to know that the Photography Center is home to a great collection of cameras and various photography gear. The exhibition aims to nurture people’s love for photography with a display that’s worthy of admiration. It contains the work of photography pioneers from all over the world including Agnes Warburg, Helen Messinger Murdoch, and Nickolas Muray as well as modern masters of photography like Eugene Atget, Walker Evans, Cindy Sherman, and Martin Parr among others.

The new Photography Center is a sight to behold. Imagine a place where you can trace every phase of photography and see how far it has come. This tool for self-expression, documentation, and art viewed through a rich and interactive display isn’t only exciting, it’s also promising. The Center features a frequently changing selection of newly acquired pieces to keep things interesting for viewers throughout.

The Victoria Albert Photography Center can be found on Level 3, Rooms 99, 100, 101, and 108. It is open for viewing starting at 10:00 until 17:45 daily and 22:00 on Fridays. The opening also marks the start of a month-long Photography Spotlight across the museum — including performances, events, courses, workshops, and talks by photographers. In addition to that, the Photography Center is set to open a photography library, event spaces, a photographer's studio and darkroom in 2022 as part of its second phase plans.
