Lomography Tutorials: How to Make Colored Lens Filters for Your Lomo'Instant Wide

Hey, everyone! We're back with another Lomo'Instant Wide tipster for you. This time we're gonna show you how to make cute and colorful lens filters that you can attach to your Lomo'Instant Wide. This one's so quick and easy that you can do it on your break time. Thanks to one of our Lomography staff, Danny Nedkova for sharing this tipster!

Materials

• Some colored gels
• Cellophane/clear plastic sheet
• A pair of scissors
• Clear tape (or glue)
• Some rubber bands
• Box cutter or precision knife

How to Make Colored Filters for Your Lomo'Instant Wide

1. Get the colored gels and cut them into any shape you like.

This is the part where you can get your imagination going. Use different shapes just for fun! Be as creative as possible.

2. Assemble the cut colored gels on the cellophane/plastic sheet.

Following the outline of the lens, arrange the cut pieces of colored gels. Make sure that the colored parts cover the lens!

3. Tape or glue the colored gels to the cellophane/clear plastic sheet.

Using tape or glue, stick the colored gels to the cellophane/plastic sheet. This will be the cover that you'll attach to your lens.

4. Fix the finished color filter to your lens.

Use the rubber bands to attach the filter to your lens. Experiment with different patterns for different effects.

And you're done! Try out your new colored filter and adjust to suit your taste! Simple, right? Now that's a quick and easy way to spruce up your Lomo'Instant Wide shots!
