Linus, His Camera, and Some LomoChrome Take Over New York City!

In case you've been living under a rock, far away from the online analog renaissance, there's a new kid on the block. Linus Johnson, also known as Linus and his Camera online, has taken Youtube, Twitter, and even Tiktok by storm. From elaborate in-studio shoots to impromptu rooftop photo sessions, Linus is full of surprising concepts and stories waiting to be created. On a recent trip to New York, Linus visited the Lomography offices, and took our LomoChrome Purple and LomoChrome Metropolis out for a spin!

"The LomoChrome Purple really shines when you're shooting in nature where there's a lot of green that can turn into purple. As far as LomoChrome Metropolis goes I think this is one of my new favorite film stocks. It feels like a throwback to the 1930s. The colors are so gritty and contrasted."

"My two favorite Metropolis photos from that series are the one with the hydrate and the one with the city in the background. The fire hydrate just pops. That right there is an unconverted metropolis scan and the red looks so good. I really don't feel like I've seen that effect with any color film before."
