Taking A Breather – Lomographs During the New "Normal"

The days are getting warmer, the urge to go on picnics or a swim is growing – but this year would be different. We are forced to spend most of our time indoors, to look for new past times, and to think about every step we take outside our house. The near emptiness on the streets is still an unfamiliar scene, as our once fast-paced lifestyles are decelerated as a result of this worldwide pandemic. But despite all these changes, we then begin to see the world with different eyes and rediscover the simple yet important things in our lives. On a more positive side, this new slower pace of things has inspired countless creatives to capture our world as never before.

We have collected a few of your impressions that capture this surreal new "normal":

And also those who have taken a new or different perception of the world around them:

The world may be at a momentary standstill, but creativity and artistic mastery carry on. The human drive to create something beautiful out of trying events, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, serves as a testament of hope.

What changes in the world do you perceive and have you also drawn positive conclusions from the quarantine? Share your impressions in the comments or capture them in photographs and share them in your LomoHome.

Many thanks for all the wonderful photographs, good health and stay safe!
