Buenos Aires has probably grown tired of its comparison as Paris of the South but as you take in the view of some of the most remarkable mansions and buildings in Recoleta (most of which are now occupied by Embassies or hotels) it is easily drawn.
Wandering along Calle Pacheco de Melo meeting Avenida Callao followed by the intersection of Avenida General Las Heras is a classic Buenos Aires vantage. Buses and Taxis whizz by with above normal velocity characteristic of La Ciudad de la Furia.
Avenida Alvear hosts some of the city's more beautiful buildings now occupied by the Embassies of France, Brazil, and the Vatican with the quirky addition of the infamous Residencia Maguire directly next door to the Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt.
