Lomographer Fernando Sciotto is known for his elegant and versatile use of Lomography films and art lenses, and this time he returns to the community with a new, lush series at hand, this time captured in the refined quality of the LomoChrome Metropolis in 120 format.

The LomoChrome Metropolis is known for its signature metallic, cool tone hues, however, in Fernando's series She is the Earth, the Metropolis film surprises everyone with its earthy palette. The ruddy soil of the earth where Fernando's model Gabrielle posed against brings more warmth to the photographs, plus the balance of light and shadow creating that semblance of vibrancy.

The photographer used a Hasselblad 500 C and a Carl Zeiss Plana 80 mm f/2.8 lens. Despite the consistent luxurious feel of his body of work, Fernando considers his film photography as a passion instead of a profession. Fashion and travel photography are just some genres he works with and draws inspiration from Michael Yamashita, Steve McCurry, and Vladimir Lagrange.
