Strange Occurrences In Monochrome, by @solariswhiteball

I initially hesitated to reach out to @solariswhiteball to ask about these photographs. But my curiosity eventually caught up with me, so I left a message, anyway. I am intrigued by the images but I am also fine with not knowing anything about them.

With faces obscured by deep shadows and blurs, one is left to wonder about who they are and what the stories behind these scenes are about. Or maybe there is no story at all, and these are just casual snapshots of an ordinary day.

Gritty, grainy, and adorned with specks and other matter that, I can only assume, are products of dirty chemicals or a dusty scan, further emphasize the vague, mysterious, and haunting aesthetic of these photographs.

I have not heard from the photographer, but it's okay. Photographs like these don't require further explanation. Sometimes, it's best to appreciate them, leave them unattended, and interpret them however we wish as the artist intended.

Good stuff! Solariswhiteball's work brings to mind 'Ravens'-era Masahisa Fukase, while keeping a clearly distinct style of his own, would you agree?
